Ph.D. Opportunities at University of Southampton

Every year, opportunities for fully funded PhD study are available through the IGNITE DLA. Projects will be posted here when available, and applications are due around January. We encourage motivated students with strong quantitative skills to apply.

Exceptional overseas postgraduate researchers may be eligible for the Presidential Bursaries, a prestigious and competitive scholarship opportunity.

For Chinese nationals, funding may also be available through the China Scholarship Council Scholarships. Please contact us early if you would like to apply to this scheme.

PhD study can also be funded through the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in the Mathematics for our Future Climate: Theory, Data and Simulation (MFC CDT). This is an excellent opportunity for those students with strong mathematical training wanting to apply their skills to climate challenges.
